This painting is a symbolic self portrait. It incorporates the myth of Pyramus and Thisbe on the left, embodying the intense love and tragedy. It is my mindscape at a time I wasn't sure if I should stay in a relationship that was lacking true love but surviving tragedy, or would I rather give up everything i have to chase that feeling even if it is doomed as Pyramus and Thisbe. Natrually I chose the chase.
